Traditionally, the Centre has six programs of events which are run on consecutive weeks. (This may change in 2022-23 so see posts on Facebook and Instagram)
Competition - Weekend
FIRST COMPETITION DAY FOR SEASON 2022/23 is:
Saturday 10 Sep 2022, STARTING 7.30 AM to 8.00AM (arrival 7.15am to 7.45am depending on your age group). Please contact your Age Manager if unsure.
The early morning events are as follows:
Programs 1, 3 and 5:
7.30am: 1500m run U10-U17 (boys)
7.40am: 1500m walk U12-U17 (girls)
7.45am: 1100m walk U10 and U11 (girls)
7.55am: 700m walk U9 (girls)
Programs 2, 4 and 6:
7.30am: 1500m run U10-U17 (girls)
7.40am: 1500m walk U12-U17 (boys)
7.45am: 1100m walk U10 and U11(boys)
7.55am: 700m walk U9 (boys)
The 300m hurdles – for older age groups – is held at 7.45am sharp during programs 4 and 6. Athletes must pre-register (by advising their age manager).

The correct club uniform must be worn at each weekend competition.

Following children around at competition
Only those parents that are signed on to perform a duty are allowed within the competition area (including helping the Age Manager). If you are signed on to perform a duty then you must perform the duty that you are signed on to do. It is not a “free pass” inside the competition area. The children can be watched from outside the competition area (i.e. behind the fence or outside of throwing areas) by their parents. If you are keen to be with your child during competition then please sign on as an Age Manager helper at the sign-on desk located inside the front gates.
Competition - Zone Championships
Manly Warringah Little Athletics Centre hosts the North East Metropolitan Zone Championships each year. The date varies each year but is typically in December. Competition - State Championships
Each year the NSW Little Athletics State Championships are held at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre, Homebush.
Each athlete competes in their Manly Warringah Centre uniform at State.
Competition - State Relay Championships
Each year the NSW Little Athletics State Relay Championships are held at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre, Homebush. Each athlete competes in their Manly Warringah Centre uniform at State Relay.
Competition - State Multi Championships
Each year the NSW Little Athletics State Multi Championships are held at a different country Centre. Each athlete competes in their Manly Warringah Centre uniform at State Multi.
Competition - State Cross Country and Road Walk Championships
Each year the NSW Little Athletics State Cross Country and Road Walk Championships are held at a different location. Each athlete competes in their Manly Centre uniform at Cross Country and Road Walks.
Competition - Australian Teams Championships
Athletes in the State Team are chosen at the State Championships from the U13 age group as well as two boys and girls selected from the U15 age group at the State Multi Event. The athletes compete as a team against all other States. The teams are selected by a LAANSW selection committee.
