Club Uniforms

Each athlete must wear the uniform adopted by their Club for normal Saturday competition. Uniforms are available for purchase at our “Competition Pack Collection Days” prior to the season starts.

Black running shorts or bike pants (without branding) can be purchased from any retailer to combine with a club singlet ($35) or crop top ($35) which must be branded with Club logo.

Club colours are:

Manly – Maroon and White,

Cromer – Royal blue and white,

Peninsula – Green,

Wakehurst – Yellow and Black,

Seaforth – Black and White.

Once the season starts you may purchase on most Saturday mornings (not in the first few weeks of competition).

Registration Numbers

The BAR-CODED bib number must be attached to the centre front of the singlet, crop-top, or T-shirt. It is recommended that this is done with pins in case it is damaged during the season and needs to be replaced. The age patch number must be attached to the left side of the shorts or scungies. No athlete will be allowed to compete at Saturday competition without these numbers affixed. Athletes are required to display these numbers at all Competitions. Failure to do so will result in athletes performances not being recorded.

Centre Uniform - Representative

When representing the Centre at any special competitions including Zone, Region, State, State Relays and State Multi, the Manly Warringah Centre uniform must be worn. This consists of a Manly Warringah maroon and white singlet or crop-top and maroon shorts, bike shorts or scungies.

A cloth registration number will be issued to replace the bar-coded bib. This individual registration number is to be worn on the front of the Centre singlet, crop-top, or T-shirt as well as the age patch number on the left hand side of shorts or scungies. A Coles patch is to be attached to right side chest/shoulder.

The Centre uniform can be purchased on Saturday mornings in the lead up to Championship events. An announcement of the dates and times will be made nearer to any of these special events and be displayed on the web site. The red border on the registration number MUST BE VISIBLE otherwise disqualification may occur.

Footwear

Under the LANSW rules of competition regulations, shoes must be worn whilst competing in all events and there are no exceptions. Certain rules apply to the use of footwear that are for all athletes’ safety and must be strictly observed.

Spikes

Only Christmas tree spikes are currently permitted on the Narrabeen track. The maximum length is 7mm for track and 9mm for field events. Christmas tree spikes can be purchased at the track.

U7s to U10s are not permitted under LANSW rules to wear spikes during competition or training.

U11s are permitted to wear spikes but only in laned or field events.

U12s-U17s in addition may also wear spikes in events not run entirely within lanes, except walks.Spikes must be taken off at the completion of events in which they are permitted to be used.
